Hello, I'm Brooke!
Your Photographer & personal hype-gal
I'm a beach-loving, adventure-seeking, family-oriented, faith-driven gal with a passion for connecting with others & capturing life's precious moments. Growing up landlocked in the midwest, I always dreamed of living on the coast one day, assuming I would have to be retired to do so. Fast forward to 2022, & this coastal daydream we had became a reality when Wilmington, NC became my husband & I's home. For as long as I can remember, the beach felt like home so when the opportunity arose to relocate, we simply couldn't pass it up. No matter the distance, though, one thing that will always remain constant is the deep value I place on family and the people closest to me. They truly are my everything. Connecting with and loving others is truly my favorite part of life, and getting to do that through my work is such a gift.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me traveling with my family & friends, golfing, kayaking, biking, beach-bumming with my husband, reading (I live up to the last name), or sipping lattes at cutesy coffee shops. Most often though, you’ll find me right where I feel most in my element; on Wrightsville Beach with my camera in hand.

Meet my second shooter, sean
(AKA my handsome husband)

For weddings & larger scale events, you'll most likely be meeting this guy right here. Meet Sean - my creative sidekick, right-hand man, & high school sweetheart. With a background in architecture and graphic design, he brings an artistic perspective and a sharp creative eye to everything we do. I’m so grateful to collaborate with someone who shares this creative passion and contributes so much to Seabrook.
When he’s not photographing alongside me, you’ll find Sean playing guitar, filling his sketchbook, exploring nearby islands, watching hockey, or (more often than not) chasing waves and surfing every chance he gets.

Nostalgia is my love language
I believe one of the most special things we can hold onto in this life are memories; the memories of those who came before us, the moments from our past, and the ones we continue to create throughout our journey. I don’t know about you, but I love looking through old photos and feeling instantly transported back to a place, a moment in time, & being with the people I love most.
What feels even more incredible is getting a glimpse into moments that existed long before we did. One of my favorite people in this world was, and forever will be, my sweet Grandma. I was lucky enough to have her in my life for 24 years, and the bond we shared together is my most priceless treasure. When I was born, she already had 70 years of life in her, and growing up I often wondered, "what was life like for Grandma in the seven decades before I knew her?" Thankfully, my Grandma shared my love for nostalgia and held onto just about every photo throughout her lifetime. Some might call that hoarding, but to us, those memories were precious treasures.
Photographs are just that. They are so much more than a group of pixels collected on our phones. Each one is a glimpse into the moments that shape who we are. They are doors to decades before we ever walked this earth, connections to those we never had the chance to meet, and heirlooms meant to be passed down so our children, and theirs, can know the stories that made our lives so beautiful.
my experience

Growing up, I always loved snapping photos while traveling, at sporting events, and anytime I was with my family and friends. In high school, I decided to take my hobby more seriously and became the Photography Editor in Chief of the yearbook, taking photos at nearly every event and teaching other publications students the foundations of photography. This carried into my college years as I became a photographer for the newspaper, magazine, and yearbook at Kansas State University. This gave me the opportunity to capture sports, portraits, productions, and different events in the community. After graduating and moving out the the east coast, I continued to have the desire for telling people's stories and alas,
Seabrook Photography was created.

As you can probably tell by now, photographing priceless moments is my passion, but it's also so much more beyond the tangible photos. It's capturing the simple, precious moments between parents and their children, the pure joy of an athlete doing their thing, or the life changing moments that I know will forever be cherished. I am committed to creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, ensuring that the essence of your true self is conveyed in each image. Posed photos are great & have their place, but I adore capturing the laughs, smiles, and emotions that aren't structured. Simply do your thing, and I will diligently and artfully capture your moments. If this sounds like fun to you, let's hit your favorite location & create memories that you can adore forever!
